News prahari|meerut| Meerut Chief Minister Arogya Health Fair to be held on Sunday of every month at all primary health centers of the district will be celebrated in a unique way this time. This Sunday is March 8 and the date is celebrated as World Women's Day. As such, these health fairs are inaugurated by public representatives. But by not doing so this time, these fairs will be inaugurated by the senior ANM present there. Not only this, daughters born on this special occasion will be gifted clothes and nutritious food to their mothers. National Health Mission Director Vijay Vishwas Pant has also sent a letter to this effect to all CMOs of the state.
This time it will be special.
This fair, to be held on a special occasion like World Women's Day, has been dedicated to the respect of mother power, women's empowerment, equality, and right to privacy. Women, especially adolescent girls, will be given information on issues like personal cleanliness, menstrual hygiene, discrimination in nutrition and privacy in the fair. Anganwadi and Asha Karkarta will distribute calcium and iron tablets free of cost by setting up stalls. Also, the information will be given about the breastfeeding, family planning, institutional delivery nutrition through the street theater at the fair. Potential patients of oral cancer, breast cancer, high blood pressure, sugar, etc. will also be examined by the community health officer or nurse.
Facilities are available at the fair.
In these fairs, along with OPD, blood pressure, seasonal fever, tuberculosis, malaria, dengue are investigated and treatment is also available. Apart from this, there is also a provision of providing necessary vaccines to pregnant women and newborns. Patients are also given complete immunization information. The pregnant woman and her unborn baby are also examined, as well as the benefits of institutional delivery.
Information about the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the Chief Minister Jan Arogya Abhiyan is also provided, as well as golden cards are also distributed to the eligible beneficiaries. People are made aware to stop tobacco consumption. The fair will start from ten in the morning and will run from two in the afternoon. In addition to the Health Department, the fair will include officers and employees of the Child Development and Nutrition Department. Patients will also be given health tests and given free medicines.
