NCRTC Invites Bids for Leasing Commercial Space at Bhaisali Station

Meerut.Taking a major step towards further enhancing commuter amenities and expanding the commercial potential of the Namo Bharat corridor, NCRTC has invited bids for the selection of a licensee for leasing commercial space at Bhaisali Station in Meerut.

Located in the heart of Meerut, Bhaisali Station is situated within one of the city’s most prominent business districts. Its proximity to key commercial areas such as Abu Lane, Lal Kurti Bazaar and Sadar Bazaar makes it a prime retail catchment with significant business potential.

The station provides local Metro services and serves dense residential areas as well as high-footfall market zones, positioning it as an attractive destination for co-working space, coaching, office, retail and food and beverage (F&B) activity. More than 400 square metres of prime space on the concourse level of the station has been offered for leasing. The commercial space enjoys high visibility and is strategically located within the passenger flow, offering prospective partners direct access to commuters and visitors.

Bhaisali Station also benefits from excellent connectivity and accessibility. Located on Delhi Road, the underground station is situated approximately one kilometre from Begumpul, heart of Meerut. It is well connected through the Delhi-Meerut Highway and the Meerut Expressway, providing convenient access towards Delhi and other parts of the region. Meerut City Railway Station is also located nearby.

Currently, a bus stand is located right outside the station, from where bus services are available to Delhi, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Roorkee and Haridwar. The station's strategic location and multi-modal connectivity make it a promising commercial destination for retailers, food and beverage operators and other businesses.

The commercial space can be utilised for a range of retail, co-working, coaching, office  and commuter-focused facilities including food and beverage outlets, convenience stores, service centres and other  purposes. The availability of such facilities within the station premises will not only enhance convenience for commuters but will also cater to the daily needs of residents and visitors in the surrounding areas.

Through such initiatives, NCRTC aims to develop station complexes into vibrant commercial hubs while encouraging participation from local vendors, entrepreneurs, traders and service providers. This will help create new business and employment opportunities, boost local economic activity and contribute towards enhancing NCRTC’s non-fare box revenue.

The growing ridership on the Namo Bharat corridor further highlights the rapidly growing commercial potential of its stations. The corridor has recorded a cumulative passenger journey of over 4.5 crore with an average daily passenger journey of about 1.1 lakh commuters. The highest daily ridership recorded on the corridor stands at about 1.68 lakh reflecting the increasing preference for Namo Bharat services and the strong footfall potential at its stations.

NCRTC invited bids through the e-tendering process for the selection of a licensee for leasing the commercial space at Bhaisali Station. Interested bidders may participate through the e-tendering process. Detailed information regarding the tender, eligibility criteria, terms and conditions, and prescribed timelines is available on NCRTC’s official website, ncrtc.in, and on the CPP Portal, etenders.gov.in.
