Team NCRTC Helps 10-Year-Old Reunite with Family at Anand Vihar Namo Bharat Station

Meerut.Days after a timely intervention by Team NCRTC helped reunite a young child with his family at Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat Station, the team has once again ensured the safe reunion of a 10-year-old child with his parents at Anand Vihar Namo Bharat Station.

The incident took place when station staff at Sahibabad Namo Bharat Station noticed a 10-year-old child unattended on the platform towards Delhi. The staff immediately informed the Operations Control Centre (OCC) about the child. The OCC, in turn, informed the Sahibabad station team that the child’s parents were already searching for him at Anand Vihar Namo Bharat Station. The child had been travelling with his family from Muradnagar to Anand Vihar.

Following the information, the Station Controllers at Sahibabad and Anand Vihar Namo Bharat stations coordinated closely to ensure the child’s safe reunion with his family. The child was taken under the care of the station team, while the two station teams remained in constant coordination and shared information about his whereabouts.

The child was subsequently taken to Anand Vihar Namo Bharat Station, where he was handed over to his parents after the necessary verification by Delhi Police. The coordinated response by the station teams ensured that the child remained safe and that his family could be reunited with him without further delay.

The latest incident comes days after an intervention at Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat Station. In that case, station staff noticed a young child appearing distressed while travelling with a woman who claimed to be his mother. When the child denied knowing the woman, the Station Controller immediately alerted CISF personnel and Delhi Police. The child’s parents were contacted and the matter was handed over to Delhi Police for further investigation, helping ensure the child’s safe reunion with his family.

NCRTC has put in place a comprehensive safety and security system across the Namo Bharat corridor. Station premises and trains are monitored through CCTV cameras, with live feeds available at the Station Control Room and the Security Control Centre at Duhai Depot. The OCC, along with station teams and security personnel, enables quick sharing of information across the corridor and facilitates timely coordination whenever required. Station staff and train attendants are also trained to remain vigilant and assist commuters during unforeseen situations.
