NCRTC Celebrates 77th Republic Day with ‘Gantantra Gaurav Utsav’ at Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station
- Patriotic Singing Competition Held at Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station
Meerut .On the occasion of the 77th Republic Day of India, NCRTC organised a grand ‘Gantantra Gaurav Utsav’ at the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station. As part of this program celebrating patriotism, unity and cultural pride, an inter-school singing competition was organized at the station in which students from reputed schools of Delhi, Ghaziabad and Meerut participated in different groups with great enthusiasm and energy. Directors and senior officials of NCRTC were also present at the event.
The patriotic songs performed by the students filled the entire station premises with the spirit of patriotism. These soulful performances not only paid tribute to the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters but also ignited a deep sense of pride and devotion towards the nation among the audience. Each performance reflected passion, energy and love for the country, and was warmly appreciated by the passengers and spectators with loud applause.
The students from Adhyyan School, Meerut; Avenue Public School, Meerut; Delhi Public School R. K. Puram, New Delhi; Gaur International School, Greater Noida; Nehru World School, Ghaziabad; and Parevartan School, Ghaziabad participated in the event and also got an opportunity to travel in the new-age Namo Bharat trains. The winners were presented with shields and mementos, and all participants were honoured with certificates by senior officials from NCRTC. A large number of passengers were actively engaged in the celebration and enjoyed the vibrant performances.
In addition, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram, a special exhibition is also being organised at the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station. The exhibition beautifully showcases the historical significance of Vande Mataram and India’s journey to independence, emotionally connecting visitors with the nation’s glorious heritage.
NCRTC is continuously working to develop the Namo Bharat stations not just as transport hubs, but as vibrant and inclusive “social hubs”. With this objective, NCRTC regularly organises such inspiring programmes at the Namo Bharat stations.
