Namo Bharat Beats’ Special Show Adds Musical Cheer to New Year’s Eve 2026 at Anand Vihar Namo Bharat Station
Meerut.India’s first Namo Bharat continues to offer commuters fast, safe and comfortable journeys along the corridor, while also creating new experiences. In this spirit, NCRTC organised a special New Year’s Eve 2026 edition of ‘Namo Bharat Beats’ on December 31 at Anand Vihar Namo Bharat station. ‘Namo Bharat Beats’ is a weekly solo live music initiative held every Friday between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM, and a special edition was curated for New Year’s Eve.
The New Year’s special performance created a festive atmosphere across the station, with melodious tunes and lively songs adding to the celebrations. The live music not only added joy to the evening but also turned the Namo Bharat journey into a memorable experience for passengers.
Commuters paused to enjoy listening to popular melodies performed by solo artist with guitar, with many seen clapping, humming along, and recording the moments on their phones. The smiles and applause across the station reflected the warm response to this New Year special edition of ‘Namo Bharat Beats’. Commuters of all age groups, including women, youth and children, expressed appreciation for the initiative.
Launched in December, the initiative has already witnessed three successful events. It forms part of NCRTC’s broader effort to develop Namo Bharat stations as vibrant social hubs in addition to being transit points.
‘Namo Bharat Beats’ is an open platform for Namo Bharat passengers, youth, students, and music enthusiasts. Interested participants can register through Namo Bharat’s social media platforms and showcase their talent before thousands of commuters. The initiative provides emerging artists an opportunity to perform before a large audience, while also making journeys more enjoyable.
NCRTC has been consistently working to transform station spaces into lively community spaces through various initiatives. As part of these efforts,, two editions of ‘Namo Bharat Unplugged: Live Musical Fridays’ have already been organized, first at Ghaziabad station in July 2024 and later at Anand Vihar station, following a growing commuter demand.
With initiatives like these, a journey on Namo Bharat is increasingly becoming more than just travel, offering moments of engagement and shared experiences for commuters. It is evolving into an experience filled with music, rhythm and shared moments, welcoming passengers every Friday at Anand Vihar station. The continued popularity and reliability of India’s first Namo Bharat is also reflected in its remarkable achievement of 2 crore commuter trips before the end of 2025, after just 2 years of operations.
