NCRTC Organises Eye Check-up Camp at Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat Station
Meerut.Reinforcing its commitment to commuter well-being and community welfare, NCRTC organised a Free Eye Check-up Camp today at Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat Station.
The initiative was organised to promote awareness about eye health, facilitate early detection of vision-related issues, and provide free eye screening services to commuters and visitors. Qualified eye care professionals conducted comprehensive vision screenings and offered guidance on maintaining good eye health. Organised at the concourse level near Gate No 4, this initiative received appreciation from Namo Bharat commuters and the people of nearby areas. It was organised in collaboration with Netram Eye Foundation, Delhi.
In today's increasingly digital world, people across all age groups, be it students, working professionals, homemakers or senior citizens, spend significant time in front of digital screens. Prolonged screen exposure can adversely affect eye health, making regular eye check-ups and timely preventive care more important than ever.
NCRTC continues to undertake several initiatives focused on commuter comfort, safety and wellbeing across the Namo Bharat corridor. Earlier this year, NCRTC also organised a two-day awareness drive at Namo Bharat stations to promote awareness about menstrual health and hygiene among women commuters. This initiative focused on encouraging informed conversations around menstrual wellbeing and creating greater awareness about safe menstrual hygiene practices in public spaces.
Through such initiatives, NCRTC aims to encourage greater awareness about health and promote the adoption of preventive healthcare practices among commuters and the public. Along with providing fast, reliable and comfortable regional connectivity, continuous efforts are being made to ensure that Namo Bharat stations and trains evolve as responsive public spaces.
