F&B Outlets Opened at Meerut South Namo Bharat Station to Enhance Commuter Convenience
Meerut . In a continued effort to enhance commuter amenities on the Namo Bharat corridor, NCRTC has now opened three new Food and Beverage (F&B) outlets at Meerut South Namo Bharat station. These include Coca Cola Happiness Station, Amul Parlour, and The Rapid Café, offering commuters a range of high-quality snacks and beverages.
F&B outlets are already operational at major stations including Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Anand Vihar, and Duhai. With the addition of these facilities at Meerut South station, NCRTC aims to further improve passenger convenience. All outlets are located in the non-paid area of the station’s concourse level. NCRTC plans to expand this network through more reputed brands in the future.
This strategic partnership between NCRTC and established F&B brands reflects its commitment to providing commuters and local residents with reliable, delicious and safe food options. The new outlets offer a wide variety of items such as lassi, buttermilk, ice creams, ghee, milk, chocolates, protein drinks, juices, and fresh sweets, in addition to fast-food offerings like burgers, rolls, pizzas, and a selection of beverages.
NCRTC's objective extends beyond providing fast and safe travel services to ensuring a convenient and balanced journey experience for commuters using Namo Bharat. In line with this vision, NCRTC is actively working to establish outlets of other FMCG and food brands in both paid and non-paid areas of the stations. Future developments will include fast food chains, cafes, convenience stores, pharmacies, refreshment stalls, bookstores, and lifestyle product outlets across the stations.
Currently, Namo Bharat trains are operational between New Ashok Nagar, Delhi and Meerut South, covering a 55-km stretch with 11 stations. Recently, NCRTC successfully conducted the timetable trial run on the entire 82 km long Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor, from Sarai Kale Khan to Modipuram in Meerut. During this trial, Namo Bharat trains made a stop at all designated stations and adhering to the scheduled timetable covered the full distance in under one hour at the maximum operational speed of 160 km/h. Meerut Metro trains were also running simultaneously with Namo Bharat trains during the trials and systems performed perfectly.
Commuters will soon experience Namo Bharat services across the entire corridor complemented by Local Meerut Services within Meerut, providing seamless connectivity and enhanced travel options across the National Capital Region.
