Season 2 of "Namo Bharat Unplugged: Live Musical Fridays" Commenced; First Friday of Season 2 dedicated to the brave soldiers of the country
Meerut-Season-2 of "Namo Bharat Unplugged: Live Musical Fridays" began with great enthusiasm at Anand Vihar Namo Bharat station today, 23 May 2025. Musical band "Treble Clef" made this Friday evening memorable with its excellent musical performance, and every music lover present there couldn’t stop themselves from dancing to their tunes. This first Friday evening of Season 2 was dedicated to the nation and the indomitable courage and bravery of the soldiers of Indian Armed Forces. All the performances were based on this theme. Not only Namo Bharat passengers but other music lovers also gathered here to enjoy the event.
In this new season of Live Musical Fridays, NCRTC introduced a new segment—On-the-Spot Antakshari—which was received with much fervour by the audience. In this segment, some members from the audience were selected to play Antakshari, and the zeal among people to participate was commendable.
The musical band “Treble Clef” that performed this evening comprised of engineering students from RKGIT College. Its members—Akash Sharma (Singer), Abhijeet (Singer), Ayush Tiwari (Singer), Ekan Tiwari (Singer), Pranav Tyagi (Singer), Shivanshu Tripathi (Singer), Aditya Raj Tiwari (Singer), Yogesh Katyura (Singer), Aditya Gupta (Singer), Aditya Mishra (Guitarist), Vyom Singhal (Singer+Guitarist), and Krishna Tyagi (Drummer)—paid a tribute to the valour and courage of Indian heroes through patriotic songs, filling the audience with energy, pride and emotion. The audience not only cheered them by loud applause and humming along, but also praised them for making the event special.
This musical evening brought new energy, relaxation and joy to tired passengers and made their evening delightful. Many of them are regular commuters on Namo Bharat and were visibly excited not only for the performances scheduled for next Friday evening, but also to participate in Antakshari. Many members of the audience here have been fans of Season 1 of Musical Fridays and expressed delight at its return and enthusiasm for upcoming Fridays.
Season 1, which ran for three months, received an overwhelming response from passengers, prompting the return of the event in this new format. Season-2 will now be held every Friday at 6 PM at the Upper Concourse Level (Non-Revenue Area) of Anand Vihar Namo Bharat Station.
With this initiative, NCRTC aims to enhance the commuting experience by offering moments of leisure and make every Friday evening memorable with different musical themes. Music lovers can also register to be part of this event and showcase their talent on stage. This is an open platform for all—commuters, students, and music lovers alike—to share their talent and be part of a community that celebrates creativity and connection through music.
