In the three-day program, handouts were distributed to students at Vinayak Vidyapeeth Meerut and Subharati University under Prevent Engagement on 25/02/2020 and a Bharat Shreshtha Bharat was discussed. Painting, slogan writing, and essay writing competitions were organized on 26/02/2020 on the second day of the program. These competitions were organized at the Nandlal Bose Subharti College of Fine Arts and Fashion Design at Vinayak Vidyapeeth, Meerut and Subharati University. 50 participants who performed best in these competitions were given awards and certificates in today's main event.
The Chief Guest of today's program, Shri Rajendra Agarwal, Honorable MP, Meerut, said in his address that the feeling of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam', which is a feeling of belonging towards all, is the soul of our national thinking. Swami Vivekananda started his Chicago speech not with 'Ladies and Gentlemen' but with 'my American sisters and brothers'. He expressed the Indian thinking on the world table, respecting and respecting everyone. The essence of Indian culture, which celebrates the pastoral world from creation, is universal brotherhood. The diversity in India attracts us and does not invade. Our rule today is moving away from the values of English life and going on with Indian values.
He said that the idea of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat to establish strong cultural contacts and unity among citizens of different parts of the country was organized by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi with the aim of celebrating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on 31 October 2015. expressed in. The Prime Minister said that the cultural diversity of the country is a festive subject and should be celebrated through the exchange of ideas and feelings between the people of different states and union territories of the country. By doing this, there will be vibrations of equal consciousness and feeling throughout the country. In this program, states/union territories are linked to another state/union territory for one year. During that year, the added States / Union Territories together organize language, literature, food, festivals, tourism-related and cultural activities. For example, in the year 2017, Andhra Pradesh was annexed to Punjab, in that year the people of Punjab tried to learn Telugu. Some Telugu books were translated into Punjabi. Similarly, the people of Andhra Pradesh attempted to learn Punjabi and Punjabi books were translated into Telugu. The people of Andhra enjoyed Punjabi cuisine and the people of Punjab enjoyed folk dance of Andhra Pradesh. Thus, the states/union territories paired with each other made cultural adoption of the partner states/union territories.
As part of the program, a cultural team sent by the Regional Public Union Liaison Bureau, Lucknow presented the message of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat in a very entertaining manner by displaying street plays on the theme of Bharat Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
The program got the full support of the management faculty members and staff of Subharti University. Chief Executive Officer Dr. Shalya Raj, Prof. VC Dr. DC Saxena, Principal of Nandlal Bose College of Fine Arts and Fashion Design, Mr. Pintu Mishra and Dr. Pooja Gupta were instrumental in organizing the event. Dr. Karan Singh performed the stage with great skill in the program. More than 600 participants participated in the three-day integrated communication and public relations program.
Presenting a special lecture at the program, Processor Arun Bhagat, Founder and President Mahatma Gandhi Central University Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Campus Motihari, Bihar said that India has a lot of diversity - geographical, cultural, religious, ideological and philosophical.
