Musical Friday Season 2 to Begin from 23rd May; Anand Vihar Namo Bharat Station to Host the Melodious Event

- First Friday of the Season 2 Dedicated to the Nation and Bravehearts of the Armed Forces

Meerut-From Friday, 23rd May 2025, NCRTC is set to begin the second season of the much-loved musical series Namo Bharat Unplugged: Musical Friday. This edition will be hosted at the Anand Vihar Namo Bharat Station, where commuters and music enthusiasts alike will once again enjoy soulful live performances by emerging artists every Friday at 6 PM. The event is free to attend for everyone. 

The inaugural evening of this season will be dedicated to the nation and the indomitable spirit of the Armed Forces. In tribute to their courage and selfless service, all performances on the first Friday will revolve around the theme of patriotism. Through this musical offering, NCRTC is inviting commuters to join in a moment of collective pride and reflection, and its efforts to reaffirm steadfast commitment to the honour and glory of Mother India.

To give an exciting opportunity to the audience to actively participate and engage with the musical experience, a new interactive segment, On-the-Spot Antakshari, is being introduced this season.  People present during the event will be able to participate in this segment. 

Musical Friday provides a platform for emerging bands and solo performers from schools, colleges, and independent circuits across NCR to showcase their talent, offering an opportunity to connect with hundreds of commuters. It is also a window of relaxation for many of commuters, who pause from their routine journeys to unwind, de-stress, and enjoy a shared cultural experience.

The first season, held at the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station, received an enthusiastic response from commuters. For four consecutive months, the station transformed into a vibrant cultural hub every Friday evening, creating a unique space for entertainment and community engagement.

Namo Bharat not only ensures ease of living for commuters by providing fast, safe, reliable, and comfortable transit, but initiatives like Musical Friday turn stations into more than just transit points—they become shared spaces of expression, joy, and community.
